About Us

Maurice Mason is President and Founder of Mason Associates, a retained management consulting and executive search firm. He has more than 20 years experience in consulting at the client firm's senior most corporate level in order to successfuly identify ideal talent, and quickly recruite senior level executive officers for a broad range of corporations. The majority of our clients are involved in industrial, aerospace, communications, renewable/sustainable energy, technology, manufacturing, for-profit, post-secondary education institutions, construction, and professional service companies ranging from venture capital backed start-ups to Fortune 100 multinationals. His experience is truly international, having successfully completed assignments throughout North America, Asia, Europe and Latin America.

Maurice's focus is building and strengthening the management teams of early stage and pre-IPO venture-backed companies as well as large, mature multinational companies. He helps his clients grow their presence in North America and assists in their global expansion.

His professional career began as a business owner of a wholesale/retail organization that specialized in the nationwide marketing and sales of antique prints. He also spent a few years as a contract archaeologist, where he was responsible for all levels of archaeological site identification, inspection, surveying, and mitigation for sites located throughout the Intermountain West. Then, after receiving his Masters degree, he served as Market Research Officer for the Australian Government. He then joined Korn/Ferry International, one of the world's largest executive search firms, where he served as Director of Research. Prior to forming Mason Associates, Maurice was a Vice President and Partner with the retained executive search firm of McCray, Hewett & Associates.

Maurice graduated from Brigham Young University with two Bachelors degrees in Political Science and Anthropology/Archaeology, and later received a Masters of International Management degree from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird). He resided in Japan for several years during his educational period.

Maurice is active in community and religious service, where he works with several coed youth groups as well as the Boy Scouts of America.
